What's in the July edition of the best selling Match Fishing Magazine

Making it on to the cover of the July issue is recent high-profile Middy signing Steve Barraclough. Inside the mag we join him on the Silver Birch lake at Woodland Lakes where he explains why you need to think quickly when fishing a venue with a mixed head of fish as your catch species can vary from day to day and hour to hour.

Also inside we have the first river feature of the new season, with Charlie Gooch tackling a moody River Trent, while Mark Pollard visits a natural lake for silver fish, Tony Curd fishes the feeder on a deep lake and Sarah Taylor shows how she approaches shallow fishing for fish other than carp. We haven’t forgotten the commercial carp lovers though, with great features from Kathryn Davies, Matt Parsons and a report from Jim Hall on the Commercial Stillwater Championships at Lindholme Lakes.

There’s also our regular diarists Andy Power and Matt Godfrey, plus international team fishing with Kye Jerrom, a veteran’s point of view from John Brooks and a report on the first qualifier of the 2024 MAP UK Pole Champs.

There’s plenty of new tackle to look at from Shimano, Okuma, Nytro and Middy, and not forgetting a chance to win a fantastic Daiwa 23 TDR QD25 distance reel. How do we cram it all in?
